Tajuana graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health, with a focus on Psychology and Sociology. Her experience with survivors of domestic violence, children in the foster care system, and women with HIV led her to KC CARE. Tajuana has been with KC CARE for two years, raising awareness about HIV, emphasizing trauma informed care, and building community partnerships along the way.
Prevention Specialist Wes is a certified Community Health Worker, Instructor, Race Equity Facilitator, and has received training in project management He has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications—Public Relations, with minors in Journalism and Industrial Psychology—Human Resource Development. In this role, Wes helps individuals access PrEP and nPEP, offers free HIV and hepatitis C tests, promotes harm reduction services, and facilitates workshops to address stigma about sex and race. Wes also co-hosts a talk show called Unboxed, an initiative to elevate the narratives of others through candid, stigma-reducing conversations.
